| And just like that....my grandpa is gone! He was released from the hospital around noon today...we knew once he went home he would only have anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days....and it was a few hours...about 4 to be exact . I really am happy for him...what a marvelous experience he is presently having....but I stress very much for my grandma and I grieve very much for myself and for my kids.

He he....thanks for making me laugh ladies! I've been having a real hard time with the passing of my gramps. He was just always supposed to be my last standing grandparent. Both of my grandma's have always been a little sickly...but not grandpa!!! The good news is....his wife---has done remarkably well! We ALL seriously thought she would probably pass away very, VERY soon after him because she has just ALWAYS been so dependent on him--however, in the hospital the Mon before he died (I feel so lucky I was there!) their bishop gave her a blessing and my uncle helped my cute little grandpa hold his hand on grandma's head from the hospital bed and in the blessing it said that she would be strong and that she would be able to carry on......and it's been incredible! At the funeral, Greg (my hubby) kept commenting that my gma was an absolutely ROCK!!! I kept expecting her to break down --but she NEVER did! You could definitely tell that she was hurting...but she had a smile on her face and it was obvious that she had been comforted and would be taken care of until it's time for her to return home also!!!! | |
